I just had a slice of the most delicious cherry pie made by my daughter Marion – yumm! Our cherry trees are full of ripe fruit ready for picking.
If you come to pick up milk or eggs in the next two weeks be sure to bring along a quart bag or jar and pick some as a tart treat – our free gift to you – we seriously can’t keep up with it all and it means so much to me to see them not go to waste. We have had a few families grab some already for fresh eating, danish pastries, and freezer jam.
Someone this week commented that they didn’t realize we offer farm fresh chicken eggs – be sure to ask me about them if that is something you are looking to source! Collected daily from our heritage breed hens, our chickens are now 100% out on pasture and in the grove foraging, which noticibly makes their yokes a rich yellow color as they fill up on lush grass and insects. So nutritious, our kids ask for fried or boiled eggs pretty much every day.

A few eggs my daughter Lucy brought me from the coop and set on the couch next to me!
Lastly, THANK YOU to everyone who reserved grass-fed beef with us for our fall butcher dates. We SOLD OUT quickly and want to let you know how much we value and appreciate each and every one of you filling your freezer with our grass, fresh air & sunshine raised beef. I have a running waiting list and you will be the first to know when we are able to open ordering again.

Our beef cows are often hard to spot when you drive up as they usually graze on pastures behind our barn, but for the next few weeks they will be up near the drive way – come say hi to our boss cow “Cherry” and all the baby calves. 🙂
God be with you this week and continue to bless your summer!
