Peggy, one of our Brown Swiss milk cows, just had her first calf. His dad is a solid British White from grass fed genetics out of South Dakota. I was so hoping for a heifer with this crossing, but am very happy with this big, beautiful calf. He is all legs!
Peggy did a great job her first time in the milking stanchion and stood calmly. It will be such a treat to have two cows in milk again as we head into the spring.
