You can order directly from Great Heritage Farm in southern Minnesota. We raise 100% grass-fed beef and sell it by the cut or as bulk shares such as quarters, halves, and whole cows.

What makes your beef 100% grass-fed?

Our cattle are raised on pasture year-round and are never fed grain. They graze fresh grass in summer and eat hay and stored forages in winter, as nature intended for ruminants.

Is grass-fed beef healthier than grain-fed beef?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Grass-fed beef is known to contain higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), antioxidants like vitamin E, and a healthier fat profile compared to grain-fed beef.

How is your beef processed and packaged?

Our beef is processed at a USDA-inspected facility. It’s frozen to maintain freshness. Bulk shares are labeled and cut to customer preferences when possible.

Do I need a big freezer for a beef share?

Accepted Answer

A quarter beef takes about 3.5 to 4.5 cubic feet of freezer space. Many families store it in a chest freezer and enjoy having nutrient-dense meals ready to go.
