I’m bursting with excitement to share some udderly amazing news with you. We brought home a NEW A2 Jersey dairy cow today!
As you know, Peggy, one of our sweet Brown Swiss, has been drying up, and with only one cow in milk, it’s been a challenge to keep up with everyone’s demand, not to mention my kids’ frustration when they hear I sold the milk they wanted to make yogurt with. To those who’ve heard me say, “I’m sorry, we’re sold out,” I heard you. Truly.
Last week, I came across the most beautiful Jersey cow on a national family milk cow page. Her exceptional condition & lovely udder immediately caught my attention. I was delighted when I discovered she was only 16 miles down the road from us. And here’s where it gets even better—the family selling her recognized our farm as the home of their great-grandparents! What a small world, right? They were happy to see the property being cared for and home to dairy cows again.
When I went to meet this dear Jersey, I couldn’t help but fall in love. A Jersey cow has the sweetest face you’ll ever see, and she is no exception. I just know you’ll adore her too. She’s the answer to making sure we have enough creamy, delicious milk to go around.
his verse comes to mind as I welcome this beautiful new addition to our farm:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:19
God’s provision is so evident in the little and big ways He works, isn’t it?
Thank you for being part of this journey with us—I couldn’t do it without your support and love for our farm.
Blessings,
Leah
